This weekend we finally had some sunny weather here in Bellingham. Ben wanted to get out, so we went to Boulevard Park. Christine and I thought we would just go for a walk along the boardwalk and get a hot chocolate for the kids, but Ben insisted on going down to the beach to hunt for crabs. We weren't sure how that would work out, but we ended up having a great time. Ben laid on his belly and dug for beach glass, then turned over on his back and threw rocks out into the water. We decided that we would wait for a few weeks until he gets his cast off before trying to chase down some crabs.
Today is four weeks since Ben's surgery, so we're already two-thirds of the way through. Just two more weeks to go!
It appears Ben is coping very well. Hope all is going well, we continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
