Not sure

Benjamin has had some wonderful successes since my last post. He has used his walker and walked to and from the couch to his room. He is loving his new custom wheelchair his Grandpa Bill had made for him and wheeling around. He visited school on Friday for a bit and got to see his classmates. He sat on pillows on the floor for the first time and worked on his Helm's Deep Lego set. He is sleeping in his own bed and through the night mostly. Now if everyone else slept well we would be in business!

Challenges:
cleaning his pin sites, watching for and preventing infection
bending his knee without a great deal of fear and some pain
attitude and mood swings

We could use prayer for all of our challenges. It is exhausting work for all of us getting used to all of our added physical therapy sessions, wound cleaning, equipment gathering and Benjamin's general mobility. Ryan is fighting a bad cold and we are all behind in sleep. Thanks for your encouragement. Benjamin has loved the cards from his church friends and has received a few in the mail too (Thanks Rosenbaums)!

At our re-check on Wednesday at Seattle Children's Hospital, we were surprised by a signed picture of Russell Wilson waiting for Benjamin. We have the best Child Life Specialist Aime!
