A Little Catching Up

Wow! I was so negligent in my blogging that I am embarrassed to continue but Benjamin deserves me to be humble and continue. Benjamin's foot reconstruction was successful but did not happen without major bumps in the road with pain, medication reactions and post traumatic stress.
This was Ben's foot prior to surgery!

This was Benjamin's foot at 6 weeks post surgery.

We are extremely happy with the results and functionality of his foot. He can run faster, jump higher and even ran a 5K in February 2014. Right after this x-ray was taken, our surgeon removed the pin and then he was re-casted for 2 additional weeks. This is not a normal surgery or condition for children with PFFD or CSF. Benjamin's body is truly unique and decided to fuse foot bones together all on it's own. We are so thankful we are done with that. His leg is now ready for lengthening.
